| Minerals found in Himalayan Crystal Salt: |
| Much of the information in this section has been extracted from Spiritual Nutrition by Gabriel Cousens, M.D.: |
| |
| Minerals are frequencies of Light, frequencies of information, and frequencies of creation for the material world in the universe in which we live.
The Earth is made of minerals. Our body is made of minerals. Minerals activate all the catalysts for enzymatic & hormonal reactions in the body. They activate the vitamins
and certain vitamins can be made from minerals. They activate all the organ structures, and in fact, are the basis of all the organ and cellular structures of the body.
Minerals are the builders of the entire organism. They are the frequency rates in the system.
For a mineral to be utilized at the intracellular level, it must be in an angstrom-size (that is, so infinitesimal it is measured in units of angstroms),
and these particles must be completely water-soluble. It is only the ionic form, or angstrom-size level, of minerals that can enter the cells and activate the proper DNA
structures to actuate the guiding frequencies for the function of the body. An angstrom (named after Johan Angstrom) is one-thousandth of a micron, and one-millionth of a meter.
The significance of this information is that almost all the mineral supplements on the market are larger than micron sizes. Now, it can get a little confusing, but think about it this way:
Particles that are micron in size and larger will be absorbed by the blood, but they are too large to be absorbed intra-cellularly and inside the nucleus. This is why supplementation
takes approximately 4-6 hours to get into the cellular fluids [and sometimes it does not because of binders and fillers and which causes more di-stress in the body].
These larger forms stay in the bloodstream, and eventually become deposited in various tissue locations.
Angstrom-size particles travel through the cells, and if the body doesn’t need them,
it will simply discharge them with no buildup of the minerals to create potential toxicity in the tissues.
This is one reason why we can use salt Himalayan Crystal Salt products for our bodies with amazing results, because it is in ionic angstrom-size form.
If salt isn’t in the ionic-angstrom form, we simply aren’t able to absorb minerals into our bodies. Table salt (straight sodium chloride) as well as any heated salt is covalently bonded.
It is not available for use in the body and can cause a toxic build-up. This may also potentially apply to salts that are sun dried.

| Sulphur |
| Sulphur is an important mineral for general health and well-being. It brings vitality to
the system and elasticity to all the connective tissues by helping to build collagen in the system. It is one of
the "beauty minerals" and is essential for the formation of hair, nails and skin. Sulphur is one of the key
elements that make cells function well.
Sulphur has an important effect on the liver and the promotion of biological secretions and seems to be
needed for healthy protoplasm. Sulphur is also important for healthy nerve function and temperature control
in the body. It brings softness to the tissues and helps with stress and asthma, arthritis, inflammation and
constipation. Some research suggests that a high sulphur content in the tissues can speed athletic recovery by
75%.
A deficiency of sulphur has been associated with muscle cramps, back pain, inflammation and muscle difficulties.
sulphur helps with producing mental calmness and improves the ability to concentrate. Sulphur minimizes acidity
in the stomach, cures ulcers and improves the body's ability to produce insulin. Sulphur builds up the immune system.
The metaphysical teaching about sulphur is that it stimulates the link between the soul and the physical body. It
aligns and integrates thoughts and emotions with soul expression.

| Magnesium |
| Magnesium, the relaxer mineral, is important for all muscles, heart function and the
digestive system. Magnesium is very good for muscle cramps and spasm, particularly when people are fasting. Magnesium
activates many enzyme systems and is involved in neurotransmitter production. It helps to alkalinize the body and soothes
and cools the brain and nervous system.
Magnesium is synergistic with calcium. It is the combination of calcium and magnesium that helps maintain healthy bones,
teeth and tissues, and promotes anti-aging effects. It activates cell growth, improves tissue elasticity and relaxes the nervous system.
Magnesium deficiency is experienced by more than 80% of the population, and is particularly prevalent in those experiencing tension, anxiety, adrenal exhaustion,
chronic fatigue, constipation and muscle spasm. Many people who are depressed have a magnesium deficiency so it can be used in the treatment
of depression.

| Calcium |
| Calcium is one of the key minerals for health. Calcium is the alkalizing mineral of structure
and gives solidity to the body, which is essential during pregnancy for the growth of the foetus, helps heals wounds and
scars, repairs cartilage, soothes the nerves, builds and maintains bone structure and teeth, gives vitality and endurance,
and protects against tuberculosis, rickets, asthma and hay fever.
For calcium to be properly utilized, it should be in balance with sodium and chlorine. When there is an imbalance
of calcium in relationship to sodium, there is a tendency for general hardening of the body, known as calcification.
An excess of calcium, or a deficiency of sodium, can cause a precipitation of calcium in the tissues. Calcium not only
builds our bone structure and cartilage, but is also helpful for relaxing muscles and preventing muscle spasm.
Ionic calcium is an extremely important transport mineral for bringing other nutrients into the cell.
Dairy products and table salt can lead to calcium losses in the body, and a variety of research clearly
shows that a high intake of the incorrect form of calcium such as milk is connected to high rates of osteoporosis. |

| Iron |
| Iron is a key vitality mineral, along with oxygen, and they work in combination.
Together with oxygen, iron in the human body builds vitality, magnetism and optimism. Iron improves circulation,
digestion, elimination, perspiration and tissue oxidation. It also acts to build the immune system.
Iron is a very important cofactor in many types of enzymes and is associated with good mental cognition and
functioning. Water soluable iron, in ionic form, tends to increase vitality and general well being, enhances
resistance to infections, and stimulates energy and stamina.

| Phosphorous |
| Phosphorous is needed for bone development, white blood cell production, metabolic regulation
and semen formation. In the form of calcium phosphate, phosphorous helps build and repair bone. Phospohorous is required for DNS and RNA
productinon, and for making ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is a majr way energy is stored at the
biomolecular level in the body. Some feel that phosphorous is associated with how strong the aura is around
people. Phosphorous also seems be be used in study, memorizing, reading, intellectual functioning, visualizing
and comprehension.
In Greek, Phosphorous means "Light bearer" and it is considered the illumination mineral. Phosphorous has to do with
psychic perceptions, idealistic tendencies, humanitarianism, and philanthropy. It has to do with the subjective functions
of the brain and the physical brain sensory system - taste, touch, smell. Throughout histroy, phosphorous has been
synonynous with intelligence and has been seen as a mineral that helps link the soul with matter. |

| Potassium |
| Potassium is the "well-being" mineral. It is involved in secretions, brain performance,
cell function, alkalinizing the blood, cell membrane conduction, hair growth, skin activity, muscle coordination,
heat resistance, memorization and the electricity in the body. Potasium is important in normal heart functions,
particularly the nerve activity or rhythm of the heart. Potassium helps with pituitary function and helps with the
treatment of some depressions. Potassium is very important in the the autonomic nervous system, the muscle
system including both the voluntary and involuntary muscles, and in sugar metabolism.
Potassium is often good in athletes, or people engaged in long-term repetitive exercise or physical work.
Potassium and sodium work in conjunction with one another. One of the most important things with potassium
is that it helps relieve edema by helping to move sodium out of the body. Potassium stimulated the kidneys
and thus acts as a natural diuretic. The sodium-potassium synergy is important in all the body cells to
maintain and restore normal cell membrane, osmosis, and electrical polarization across the cell membrane.
If either mineral is out of balance, the cell permeability and electricity are compromised, and the ability
of cells to absorb nutrients and excrete waste materials is limited.
Potassium alkalizes the intracellular fluid. Common table salt throws off the potassium-sodium balance.

| Zinc |
| Zinc is very important in the functioning of the pancreas, as well as the
male genital function especially prostate gland, sperm production, and even genital formation. Zinc
is important in the treatment of diabetes, because it is connected with insulin formation and helps
maintain proper blood sugar levels. Zinc is also important in the healing of artery injuries, and in healing
bones and wounds. It also works synergistically with Vitamin A and sulphur to create strong hair. It is
important for night vision, as well as taste and smell.
Zinc is helpful is treating people with alcoholism, as alcohol tends to flush zinc out the system. Zinc is
important for normal cell division, repair and growth and it is needed for the synthesis of DNA. Zinc may be th
most important antioxodant known as it affects more than 300 enzymes. Zinc plays a role in the enzyme systems needed
for the breaking down of old collagen and the synthesis of new collagen. It helps with creating healthy skin and
building new collagen and thereby supports skin beauty. It is helpful in the treatment of burns and can help in
DNA repair. A normal amount of zinc helps protect against wrinkling, stretch marks and signs of aging.

| Sodium |
| Sodium is a fluidity element. It keeps us limber, pliable, active and useful and
balances the body by keeping calcium and magnesium in solution. The ability of sodium to keep calcium in
solution in the joints keeps the joints and ligaments supple, and helps prevent arthritis. In the nerves, a
sodium-potassium balance is required for the movement of electrical impulses. In the blood sodium regulates
the fluid balance. By regulating the body's sodium concentrations, the body regulates water and hydration
levels in various tissues.
For many of the functions of the body, our bodies really cannot use inorganic or covalent table salt,
but we need sodium from our foods or from angstrom-size sources such as Himalayan Crystal Salt.
Sodium chloride, if exposed to heat, as in kiln-dried salts, converts from ionic bonding to covalent bonding.
In this form it is somewhat toxic to the system. If salts have turned covalent, they usually have a bitter taste
and a drying sense. The best sources of elemental sodium are the underground sources
of salt such as Himalayan Crystal Salt. This salt contains about 84 minerals and in this ionic form tastes almost
sweet and savory and brings saliva into your system. |

| Copper |
| Copper seems to be involved in all the body tissues. Many of the enzymes needed for metabolism
and anabolism use copper. Copper also has an effect on protein metabolism and general healing. Copper is important in
the formation of RNA, and is involved with iron in the formation in the womb. Copper is important for building connective
tissue and cartilage and helps protect us against joint problems, ruptured blood vessels and spider veins. Copper also helps
prevent hair from turing grey.
Copper is one of the most important minerals for protecting us from parasite infections and has been found to kill almost
all microscopic parasites. Angstrom size copper is not toxic and that is the copper that should be taken. |

| Lithium |
| Lithium is a mineral salt that has been associated with the treatment of depression.
Recent research suggests that it may be helpful at low doses for brain function. Angstrom
size lithium is the best source. |
